This lovely dress is created from a springtime eyelet cotton of your choice; coordinating cotton comprises the lining of the bodice and skirt eliminating the need for an under-slip or petticoat. A wide ribbon ties around the middle of the empire waist. A layer of wide white lace embellishes the hemline if desired (extra $15). Tucks can be added to the hemline that are easily let out, giving this gown several years of wear. ($10 per tuck).
This gown easily slips of the head and then sinches in with both a neckline and waistline satin ribbon drawstrings creating the perfect slightly gathered look as well as allowing for size adjustment. The back laces up with button holes, a modesty panel and satin ribbons. The puffed sleeves close with elastic finishing off this lovely little dress. This sweet gown would be just the dress for a Austen tea party, picnic in the park, a historical birthday party, re-enactment wedding or even a ball!
